What's the story? Some of you agree with the bailout, some of you are completely against it. Which is it? Which one is going to help the economy and our industry? Do we want our children and grandchildren to have to deal with a huge govermental debt? NO. Do we want the entire financial system of this country to fail? NO. Have we seen hard times before? YES Will we see them again? YES
I have been sitting here today reading blogs and MSN and watching the news and I agree it is bad. The stock market has fallen at a historical rate. Is it just everything correcting itself? What is going to happen to all of these banks that are folding in front of our eyes? Are there only going to be three banks by the end of it all? We just don't know.
What we do know is that people are going to continue to buy homes. Maybe not at the rate that they have been in the past several years but they are still going to buy and sell. It's going to be harder for some people to get loans for these homes but that may be a good thing since that has a very large part in where we are today. Buyers are going to be looking more at FHA loans again. They are going to have to have money down for conventional loans.
I started to have a panic attack because we just purchased a RE/MAX office in Collinsville, IL and are in the process of relocating it. I was thinking "What have I done?" Then I snapped out of it. I survived cancer and I sill survive this too! Let's all try to lift each other up in this tough time instead of bringing each other down. It will be OK! It has to be! We live in a great country where men and women can work, own a business, buy nice homes, cars and most importantly have food on their tables to feed their children. This world is what we make it, let's make it a better one!
It is always a pleasure to serve you and your friends.
